Brisbane duo Walken have recently dropped the music video for their grunge-soaked tune "Even if it Kills Me" - a single that positions the band alongside the likes of fellow Queenslanders Violent Soho, The Smith Street Band and others in the crop of Aussies who have been flying the flag for music that is good to thrash, dance, drink and party to.
The nominees for the 2015 SA Music Awards have today been announced, with successful Adelaide export Tkay Maidza leading the charge, nominated for seven awards across 14 categories! Music SA this morning revealed the results of what has been a months-long judging process for a panel of local industry minds, reflective of the amount of talent South Australia has produced over the past 12 months. The awards ceremony will be held on November 11th, set to be opened by SA Premier Jay Weatherill and Lord Mayor Martin Haese at The Mercury Cinema.
Before the weekend, Le1f was the first name leaked/revealed for Melbourne's Sugar Mountain festival, quickly indicating that the organisers had another vibrant and eclectic line up in store. This morning, they've gone and announced the full line up of artists, musicians and individuals set to take part in the event next January at the VCA and Melbourne Arts Precinct!

Now in its sixth year, Melbourne Music Week has released its full 2015 program. From the 13th of November until the 20th, over 100 events will light up the city, including live music performances, workshops, panel discussions, exhibitions, film screenings and more.

Overnight, Tame Impala brought the sounds of Currents to US TV, rolling out a killer performance of "The Less I Know The Better" on The Late Show With Stephen Colbert. Colbert, who is currently striding through his debut season of the Late Show gig with an impressive array of musical guests, added the Perth band to his roster - not a bad addition! For Tame Impala, their hit rate currently remains at an all time high, recently adding a swag of ARIA nominations and two 2015 wins already for Kevin Parker to their pile.
