Sydney Festival Live Review: Sons and Daughters + Songs + The Laurels - Keystone Festival Bar (13.01.12)

Bringing together a lineup of three immensely talented and engaging bands at Keystone Festival Bar, Sydney Festival provided punters with a wonderful night of music. Starting out with the astounding psychedelic rock of Sydney’s very own The Laurels and ending with the thrilling, pounding set played by Scotland’s much loved band Sons and Daughters, the night cannot be faulted.

the AU interview: Max Doyle of Songs (Sydney)

Ahead of their performance at Tone in Sydney - one of the last shows for the venue - Larry Heath caught up with Max from Songs - a band who we haven't heard from in quite a while. He brings us up to date on the band and let's us know what's coming next...

Larry: Hey Max, it’s Larry here from The AU Review how are you going?

Max: I’m good how are you?

I’m doing very well, am I catching you at home at the moment?

Pikelet + Songs + The Maple Trail - Oxford Art Factory (29.04.10)

I'll admit that tonight's banquet of music was something to get excited about. With hardly any obvious musical connections between the main slot and the supports , it was bound to be an interesting night.

Songs + The Laurels + Danimals - Hopetoun Hotel (10.09.09)

Hopetoun Hotel once again showcases some of the city's best talent.

Danimals, The Laurels and Songs are three of the hottest bands in Sydney right now, and they blew the roof off the venue, in front of an - as expected - sold out crowd.
