DMC is the moniker for Canberra-based singer/songwriter Duncan McMaster. Today he has released the incredibly catchy “Memories” and it is our Track of the Week. If you want a song with an upbeat jangly chorus, then this is one for you. I’m pretty sure that fans of The Vaccines, Portugal the Man and Foster The People should find plenty to love here.
“I’ve got these vibrations down in my soul”, DMC sings with joy and passion. From the opening bass lines, we are totally hooked on this joyful banger that is “Memories”, that explores that wonderous thing that is love.
This is the fourth track to be released by DMC. Of “Memories”, he says “Lyrically my new piece is exciting, based on my personal journey of love I experienced over the past year. It encompasses my feelings and general headspace through a positive time in his life where he came across emotions only previously only dreamed of. The lyrics show depth into times where love can be blind, but strong and you’re tied with feelings so tight that you can’t escape, and that’s what’s nice about this piece in my opinion.”
“Memories” was produced by redMOSK and engineered by Delipres.
