Exclusive Single Premiere: MazZ “Memories” (2026)

Brisbane R&B artist MazZ is preparing to introduce herself with debut single “Memories”, officially out tomorrow, 29th of July, and today we’re thrilled to be giving you the first listen.

Signed to UGLi Records, MazZ arrives with a track steeped in late-night atmosphere. Moody synths and dreamy, noir-tinged production create a shadowy backdrop for a song about the kind of relationship that refuses to disappear completely, even when you know it belongs in the past.

“Can’t get that image out of my mind,” MazZ sings, capturing the persistent pull at the centre of “Memories”. The song feels built from fragments — flashes of a person, a relationship and moments that keep resurfacing long after they should have faded. There’s heartbreak here, but also the sense of somebody beginning to put distance between themselves and a toxic love.

For a debut, “Memories” feels remarkably assured — dark, dreamy and intimate, with MazZ already beginning to establish a world of her own.

MazZ says of the track:

“This one’s been sitting with me for a while and I’m ready to let it go. It’s about that version of love that stays in your head even after it’s over.”

“Memories” is also the first glimpse of a larger body of work MazZ has been developing over the past year, pairing emotionally direct songwriting with polished contemporary R&B production and a sound capable of moving between headphones-after-midnight intimacy and the club floor.

The Brisbane artist will celebrate the release on 30th of July at The Station in Fortitude Valley, with a DJ set from Destanijo and photographer and videographer Jake Simi capturing the night. RSVP HERE.

It’s always exciting getting in at the very beginning of an artist’s story, and we’re thrilled to be premiering the debut single from an exciting new Brisbane talent.
