Christmas comes early as Blade Runner 2049 releases its first teaser trailer

Just in time for the holidays, the announcement trailer for the sequel of the 1982 classic Blade Runner has been released.

Titled Blade Runner 2049, the next installment is set 30 years after the original film and will see Harrison Ford reprise one of his defying roles as Rick Decard, with Ryan Gosling join the series as a police officer known as “K” who attempts to track down Decard, the original Blade Runner.

The film is directed by Denis Villeneuve, whose most recent release Arrival, became a critical and commercial success. By the look of the trailer, the eye-catching imagery of a yellow-based and eerie futuristic Los Angeles will help make the film one of the most highly anticipated of next year.

Blade Runner 2049 will also star Jared Leto, Robin Wright and David Bautista, and is set to be released in October 2017.
