Exclusive Single Premiere: SMALLS “Tail Lights” (2020)

Sydney based artist SMALLS is just a couple of days out from releasing his debut single, but for those of you who can’t wait that long, never fear! We’ve got the exclusive premiere of “Tail Lights” right here on The AU Review!

Originally hailing from country NSW, SMALLS is the performing name of Will Robinson. His sound takes influences from The 1975, LANY, and Japanese Wallpaper. And it all begins with “Tail Lights”, a reverb-laden slice of playful indie-pop.

SMALLS says:

“’Tail Lights’ is about the ups and downs of being in a committed relationship with a loved one who struggles with their mental health. You want to logically communicate to this person that they are loved and cared for, but depression and anxiety don’t present themselves in a logical manner, so the song is about the struggle of understanding that. That explanation sounds really dire, but I think the song evokes a sense of optimism when the lyrics are coupled with a jovial and positive melody.”

Officially released into the wild on Friday May 15th, get in ahead of the curve with our exclusive premiere of “Tail Lights” below!

SMALLS has plenty up his sleeve for the rest of 2020, including new music and live dates as soon as restrictions are lifted. Until then, you can stay up date with this up-and-comer via his Facebook and Instagram.
