A.B. Original and Flume emerge as frontrunner nominees of the 2017 AIR Awards

The 2017 AIR Awards have been announced this morning, as the countdown to one of the key events on the Australian music calendar officially kicks off. For the first time, the awards themselves move from Melbourne to Adelaide, taking place at the historic Queen’s Theatre on July 27th.

The nominees are wide ranging this year, with some newcomers and past AIR Award nominees making their way to the list. Emerging with five nominations apiece are A.B. ORIGINAL and Flume – obviously two very different styles of music represented, but being celebrated across major categories throughout. For the full list of nominees, see below!
