Exclusive Single Premiere: Rosalie Chilvers “TINY TSHIRTS” (2026)

Rosalie Chilvers

There is a very specific kind of horror reserved for the moment your ex’s mum accidentally likes a two-year-old photo of you on Instagram. Maybe it’s not a big deal – but there’s a fair chance it will hit hard — unless, like Rosalie Chilvers, you decide to weaponise it instead. Today, the AU review is stoked to bring you the exclusive premiere of “TINY TSHIRTS”, the new single and accompanying music video from the Boorloo/Perth-based pop-rock artist, ahead of its official release this Thursday, 30th April.

It’s a glossy, whiplashing pop-rock anthem — sharp, punchy guitars, vocals that swing between gritty and sass, and lyricism pointed enough to draw blood. This is just the song to scream at the top of your voice with your besties; the perfectly cathartic rock banger.  Fans of Paramore, Olivia Rodrigo and The Veronicas will find an immediate home here. Produced alongside Reece Lenzo and Calvin Bennett, it’s bold, sparkling and gloriously defiant.

The story behind it is almost too perfect. “TINY TSHIRTS is a song about moving on from a toxic relationship dynamic, not only with your ex but with their family,” Chilvers explains. “The song was directly inspired by the night two years after our breakup, my ex’s mum accidentally liked an insta photo of mine and it brought me right back into those feelings of judgement… Sometimes the ultimate answer to your problems is to put on a tiny t-shirt and go out with your friends.”

The video traces that exact spiral in real time. It opens on the offending notification, cuts to the group chat lighting up, and from there it’s all pre-drinks, smudged eyeliner, club lights and shaky handheld chaos — a night unfolding in a haze of disorientation and mascara. Throughout it all, it’s the girlfriends who anchor the frame, steering the moment from petty rumination into something genuinely freeing. It’s less a music video than a love letter to the kind of friends who show up with a tiny t-shirt and a mission. Here’s to the besties who are always there for us.

What makes “TINY TSHIRTS” land is that Chilvers refuses to make heartbreak sound dignified. The song is dramatic, fully self-aware, and unapologetic about all of it. Let’s turn this drama into something loud enough to dance to.

At just twenty years old, Chilvers has already built serious momentum. Her 2025 debut EP Don’t Play in Traffic earned her support slots with Hot Chelle Rae, Playlunch, FANGZ and Noah Dillon, alongside festival appearances at Hyperfest, SIDEFEST and Albany Pride Fest. Add in a 2024 WAM Song of the Year nomination and a place in the 2025 Sound States Mentee Program, and “TINY TSHIRTS” arrives as the sound of an artist hitting her stride.

“TINY TSHIRTS” is out everywhere this Thursday, 30th April. Press play below and turn it up — this one was not built for polite listening. Rosalie is touring in Perth and Melbourne in May – see below for dates, and get along if you can. Support live music!
