You totally missed Gelato Messina’s Orange is the New Black themed creation.

To celebrate the release of Orange is the New Black Season Two on Blu-ray & DVD last month, the team at Australia’s favourite gelataria Gelato Messina developed a limited edition gelato creation which was served up on a prison-style cafeteria tray.

The Limited Edition creation was available for sale at Gelato Messina’s Darlinghurst Dessert Bar (243 Victoria St, Darlinghurst, Sydney) on Wednesday 20th May. Only 50 were available for purchase for $12, with the first 25 orders also receiving a free copy of the Orange is the New Black Season 2 DVD.

Taking inspiration from Red’s Kitchen the custom gelato creation featured a chocolate gelato, passionfruit & caramel ‘meatloaf’ with a rum caramel sauce, parsnip and vanilla ‘mash’, green apple & orange ‘peas & carrots’ and a vanilla desert ‘log’.

Orange is the New Black – Season 2 is available on Blu-Ray & DVD now and Season 3 is currently streaming on Netflix Australia.
