The second Rogue One: A Star Wars Story trailer has landed. And it is incredible.

Just over two months prior to its release, LucasFilm and Disney have revealed the second, and presumably final, trailer for the highly anticipated Rogue One: A Star Wars Story.

Rogue One is the first standalone film in the Star Wars franchise. The film stars Felicity Jones (The Theory of Everything, The Amazing Spider-Man), Mads Mikkelsen (Hannibal, Casino Royale), Riz Ahmed (Jason Bourne, Nightcrawler) and Australia’s Ben Mandelsohn (Animal Kingdom, The Dark Night Rises). Rogue One tells the story of rebel soldier Jyn Erso, as she bands together with other unlikely heroes on a mission to steal the plans to the Death Star.

Directed by Gareth Edwards and produced by LucasFilm president Kathleen Kennedy, Rogue One began production in 2015. Now, just over two months until its official release and a day after its poster reveal, fans have been treated to a brand-new plot-heavy trailer.

Rogue One: A Star Wars Story will launch in Australian cinemas on December 15th.
