New teaser trailer and poster unveiled for upcoming Sci-Fi Valerian and the City of a Thousand Planets

A new teaser trailer and accompanying poster has been revealed for upcoming sci-fi Valerian and the City of a Thousand Planets from The Fifth Element director Luc Besson. The film is based on the popular French science fiction comic series Valérian and Laureline, and takes place in the distant 28th century, where Valerian (Dane DeHaan) and Laureline (Cara Delevingne) work to maintain order throughout the human territories.

The two embark on a mission to the city of Alpha, a gorgeous metropolis where centuries of knowledge have converged. A dark force soon emerges that threatens the peaceful city of Alpha and the future of the universe, and it’s up to Valerian and Laureline to defeat the threat.

The trailer shows off the stunning effects and gorgeous worlds of the film, showcasing the beauty of its alien landscapes, and into the far reaches of space. The teaser is accompanied by a brand new theatrical poster featuring leads DeHaan and Delevingne.
