We really can’t believe it either. The first official trailer for Grand Theft Auto VI might have dropped earlier than planned but has understatedly taken the internet by storm.
As many would have guessed, the trailer showcases the return to Vice City and the long-rumoured protagonist duo. Lucia is indeed mentioned by name, while the male protagonist remains unnamed. The rumours had gotten Lucia right after all, so we’re pretty certain we just got our first glimpse at Jason.
Sam Houser, founder of Rockstar Games, commented on the news, stating:
“Grand Theft Auto VI continues our efforts to push the limits of what’s possible in highly immersive, story-driven open-world experiences. “We’re thrilled to be able to share this new vision with players everywhere.”
“Grand Theft Auto VI heads to the state of Leonida, home to the neon-soaked streets of Vice City and beyond in the biggest, most immersive evolution of the Grand Theft Auto series yet.”
The trailer gives us a great look at its overall vibe, littered with influencer culture in the heart of a Miami-based setting. Grand Theft Auto VI will drop on both PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X/S sometime in 2025, with a PC release to follow at a later date.
