Larry David to bring Curb Your Enthusiasm back for a ninth season in 2017

If inferences can be drawn on the fans of Larry David, then the announcement of a ninth season of Curb Your Enthusiasm is probably being greeted with a lot of nonchalant, unenthusiastic cheers right about now.

It has been five years since the friendly face of the neurotic Larry David flashed the screens of HBO and to the fans of the series, that’s probably too long. While the series details are still in limbo, the show’s producer has recently teased fans that it wouldn’t be much longer before the new series arrived, although specific date has been set.

Recently that president of HBO programming Casey Bloys stated on a TCA press panel that David’s latest work should start filming in the fall and arrive at some point in 2017. Casey Bloys had this to say,

“I think possibly [it will shoot] this fall and will air sometime in ’17. That could slide but he’s definitely gearing up for it. I would imagine, my hope is most of the cast [will return], but we don’t have any of those details worked out yet.”
