Every major concert, show and music festival coming to Las Vegas in 2027

A good number of our readers regularly find themselves travelling across America for conferences, industry events and music festivals, particularly along the West Coast. And while those trips tend to be built around work commitments or a particular event, keeping an eye on what’s happening in Las Vegas can turn an otherwise routine business trip into a holiday worth remembering. After all, they don’t call it the Entertainment Capital of the World for nothing.

And with Qantas launching its first-ever nonstop flights between Sydney and Las Vegas on 29 December 2026, it’s much easier to build an entire trip around unforgettable entertainment without committing to a full US blowout. The new seasonal route will operate until 12 March 2027, cutting up to five hours off the journey and making it considerably easier to catch some of the world’s biggest entertainers without connecting through another American city.

Las Vegas has spent the past few years strengthening its position as one of the world’s great live entertainment destinations, largely thanks to Sphere. The extraordinary venue has quickly become a bucket-list attraction for music fans, and its 2027 calendar is already looking stacked. Metallica, John Mayer and the Eagles are among the major acts scheduled, while Electric Daisy Carnival is preparing for another enormous year at Las Vegas Motor Speedway.

With more announcements expected throughout the year, we’ve put together a running guide to the biggest concerts, Las Vegas residencies, music festivals and live entertainment events confirmed for 2027.

Las Vegas concerts and events in 2027

January

January is dominated by CES 2027, which runs from 6 to 9 January and brings the global technology industry to town. If you’re travelling over for the world’s biggest consumer electronics show, you’ll narrowly miss the Backstreet Boys but have the Eagles, Santana and Metallica to look forward to later in the month.

February

February brings MAGIC Las Vegas, the enormous fashion industry trade show, from 16 to 18 February. If your interests lean more towards music than fashion, Mary J. Blige’s My Life, My Story residency should be one of the month’s biggest draws, while Metallica continues its run at Sphere.

March

March is a particularly good month for classic rock fans, with Sting and Metallica both performing in Las Vegas. The city also hosts NASCAR’s Pennzoil 400 weekend from 19 to 21 March, making it a strong option for anyone planning an American motorsport holiday.

April 2027

Anyone working in media or entertainment should have NAB Show on their radar. The broadcasting industry’s major convention runs from 3 to 7 April, with the exhibition opening on 4 April. John Mayer begins his highly anticipated Sphere residency just as the conference wraps up, offering a very good reason to extend the trip.

May 2027

May is shaping up as one of the biggest months for music lovers. Electric Daisy Carnival returns to Las Vegas Motor Speedway across two weekends, from 14 to 16 May and 21 to 23 May, while John Mayer and Santana offer a very different kind of live music experience back on the Strip.

June 2027

June is looking relatively quiet compared with the first half of the year, although there’s still a strong case for visiting. John Mayer wraps up his Sphere residency, while A Perfect Circle joins forces with The Cult for two nights at Fontainebleau’s BleauLive Theatre.

Later in 2027

The second half of the year is still taking shape, with more major residency announcements expected. September is particularly interesting for fans of Latin music, as Carín León returns to Sphere around Mexican Independence Day celebrations, while Sting heads back to Caesars Palace in October.

Musicals and Broadway shows in Las Vegas

Broadway is back on the Strip at The Venetian, while The Smith Centre’s 2026–27 Broadway Las Vegas series brings major touring productions to Downtown Las Vegas. There’s a good mix of established favourites and newer productions, including Tony Award winners The Outsiders and Maybe Happy Ending.

Immersive theatre and experiences in Las Vegas

Sphere has opened up an entirely different category of live entertainment in Las Vegas, and the venue’s programme extends well beyond conventional concerts. Oprah Winfrey is bringing a three-day immersive event to the venue in April, while The Wizard of Oz continues to make use of its extraordinary wraparound screen.
