Gala Showcase announced for Good Beer Week at Federation Square (Melbourne)

Once again, Melbourne’s Good Beer Week will be kicking off with a two-day Gala Showcase this March, taking over The Atrium at Federation Square with 30 local and interstate breweries in tow, ranging from NSW legends Modus Operandi to local favourites Bridge Road Brewers.

All breweries will stand alongside Melbourne’s best food vendors, highlighting some of their latest and classic brews to help preview the huge Good Beer Week 2018 program, which is a ten-day love-in for beer enthusiasts running from 11th to 20th May.

The event, which sold out last year, is set for Thursday 22nd and Friday 23rd March and will feature brews that have not yet been released, free masterclasses, meet the brewer sessions, and a chance to vote in the Bintani People’s Choice Awards for best brewery and beer of the showcase. A total of 100 beers will be showcased.

Entry to the event is priced at $50, with tickets including 20 x 60ml beer tastings, a $10 food voucher, and a Rastal tasting glass worth $15. Each session across the Thursday and Friday will kick off at 5pm and wrap up at 9pm.
