The PAX Aus Indie Showcase is back once again for 2026 to celebrate Australia’s most inventive independent game creators, by highlighting a selection of digital and board games, which will be available to try out later this year.
Superloop will be sponsoring the PAX Aus Indie Showcase for this year, supporting the next generation of Australian developers looking to bring their ideas to your living room.
This year’s showcase features a collection of six digital titles along with six tabletop games, all of which have come from Australia’s thriving indie games industry.
The six winners of the Digital PAX Aus 2026 Indie Showcase category are:
● Cozy Game Restoration by Parasol Corp
An awesome simulator which lets you restore old gaming cartridges by cleaning them up and giving them a second life.
● Key Fairy by Owl Machine
A vibrant, hand drawn 2D bullet hell game that sees you taking on forgotten gods.
● Finch & Archie by Octarine Arts
An episodic co-op noir murder mystery set during the great depression that sees you solving crimes with your trusty dog at your side.
● The Last Exterminator by Ironworks Games
An ode to the glory days of 90s action blockbuster shooter, complete with over-the-top action, corny humour and explosive set-pieces.
● Mission Delta by Polarity Games
Fight your way up Delta Corp’s skyscraper Die-Hard style as you fuse weapons and build combinations for the ultimate action kick.
● A Real Life Party by Silakka
A comedy game where you play as Anton waiting for his friend Henry to arrive at his own flat warming, while you try your best to mingle with everyone around you.
The six winners of the Tabletop PAX Aus 2026 Indie Showcase category are:
● Thrive by Avant-Card Games
A deceptively cute card game where everyone plays as an animal trying to survive out in the wild.
● Aqueducks by Corkscrew Games
The only roman and duck themed deck-builder in history. From here, you’ll be able to lead them from the days of the Roman Empire into a futuristic city.
● Deathbed by Devil Juice
The Old King is on his deathbed, and you’ll have to play every card you have to get on his good side and claim the inheritance.
● Drago’s Dreamland by Emily Dallwitz
You’ll leave home with the goal of collecting 20 wisdom points, before returning home. Players will meet rainbow pixies who travel the board, and share stories of their travels.
● Caught in the Rain by The RavensridgeEmporium
A solo or GM-less TTRPG where you play as a detective, seeking to solve the various mysteries for any genre.
● Wireburn by Wireburnthegame
A fast-paced, cutthroat cyberpunk card game for 1 to 6 players. You’ll need to use your cards to hack the system to your advantage.
Attendees can play every one of these award-winning indie titles and meet the creators behind them at PAX Aus 2026, running 9–11 October at the Melbourne Convention and Exhibition Centre.
