Butter is turning red for Puma with a limited edition menu (Sydney)

Teaming up with Puma for Arsenal FC’s first visit to Australia in 40 years, Surry Hills fried chicken and sneaker joint Butter has gone through a bit of a makeover, borrowing a bright shade of red from the limited edition and never released Puma Arsenal Suedes. In addition to giving away 50 pairs of the extremely rare sneaker (more on that HERE) Executive Chef Julian Cincotta has whipped up a special menu that builds on some of the diner’s signatures with a red-themed twist.

So what’s on the menu? For starters they’ve got the so-called “Invincible Chicken Sandwich” with a fried chicken thigh fillet, lettuce, cheese, hot English mustard, HP sauce and mayo slapped on a steamed red bun and served with slaw on the side. If you’re not full after that, follow it up with a Red & White Donut, which is Butter’s signature hot cinnamon donut glowing with a red glaze and topped with crushed white meringue. A special drink has even made it’s way onto the menu – the Gooners Gin & Jam Slushie, which is build with Beefeater gin, raspberry jam, basil and house-made lemonade.

If you’re too lazy you can grab both the sandwich and donut on UberEATS, but it’s best to head along anyway because any winners of the sweet sneaker giveaway (lasts from now until Sunday 17th July) will need to pick up their pair in-store. Winners of that will be announced Monday 17th July.
