Park Hyatt Sydney rooms now come with a $10,000 Fujifilm GFX100s camera

Luxury staycations are hot enough right now, but what if you’re five-star room came fully-equipped with one of the world’s highest performing large format digital cameras. We’re talking a 102 Megapixel beast worth almost $10,000, ready and willing to help you capture everything from those direct Sydney Opera House and harbour views, to strolls along the piers of nearby Walsh Bay.

That’s the idea at the new, and temporary, GFX Suite at the world renowned Park Hyatt Sydney. The hotel was tapped by none other than Fujifilm for the fascinating collaboration, which will give guests the opportunity to book into a guest room or suite and play around with the 102MP Fujifilm GFX100s along with a wide range of lenses for every shooting scenario.

The GFX Suite comes equipped with an interactive in-room video tutorial on how to use the camera (don’t worry – its very beginner friendly), a post-stay photography concierge service which will edit your images and provide one high-quality print of the best shot, and full access to the Park Hyatt Sydney’s luxury facilities and amenities. Yes, including that world famous rooftop pool and fitness centre, which looks directly towards the Sydney Opera House.

You won’t be locked into any one room category either. The GFX Suite is available across all Park Hyatt Sydney rooms, including the super luxurious Park Hyatt Cove Suite with its sprawling city views, and the Sydney Suite which looks directly onto the Sydney Opera House and harbour.

The Fujifilm GFX100s is an incredibly impressive medium format mirrorless camera, and one of the most affordable of the category to date. It’s also one of the smallest, making it easy to take around while you’re exploring the area around Park Hyatt Sydney (or wherever – the only limit is your mind) and snapping up some shots to put you on par with the pros.
