The 2016 Volumes Festival has dropped their 2016 line up today, showing that it’s more than confident in delivering an eclectic and entertaining line up of local talent in its second year. Taking over the heart of Sydney in August, Volumes expands this year to become a two-day event with multiple stages and venues set up to host a variety of live music, electronic and digital media experiences and art.
The festival is also a celebration of local labels, with the likes of Rice Is Nice, Bedroom Suck, Strange Yonder, I OH YOU and Moontown Records coming together to handpick the artists on this first announcement we see below.
Friday night at the Volumes Festival brings the likes of Rainbow Chan, Lupa J and Milwaukee Banks together to whet the appetites of punters gearing up for a weekend of awesome music. Heading up the Saturday night program are the likes of Nicholas Allbrook, Slum Sociable and Fishing, while the rest of the bill also oozes quality, with artists including Donny Benet, Summer Flake and Mossy all set to perform.
