The final day of the 2025 edition of The Great Escape was another action-packed and diverse assortment of fabulous acts.
The Australian contingent was well-represented again, with Sounds Australia running their showcases down at The Beach stages during the day. All three stages were used, so there was plenty to see.
Emeree played on what was probably the only outdoor stage of the festival, in the cute ‘The Jetty’ stage.

An early highlight in “The Deep End”, the same stage that saw Pete Doherty and Mercury Prize-winners English Teacher perform earlier in the festival, was our own Beddy Rays. Last month they released their sophomore album,Do What Ya Wanna, and it’s an absolute belter. It was great to hear some of the new tunes live.

Heading further afield, we caught The Molotovs, one of the hot new bands coming out of the UK. Incredible guitars, and punchy anthems, they are the real deal. The queue was around the block to get in, so many missed out.

Another new discovery (for me) was Sulk, an East London quartet. Their music spans genres, but again it was loud and fast.

Again, you were spoilt for choice. So much to see, so little time. I certainly got my steps in, doing my best to see as much as possible. Looking forward to 2026 already.
