Sydney band The Finalists have released the gorgeous and lush track “Learn To Live Without You”. This is the second single off their debut album, First, due to be released on the 6th November. It features some sweet harmonies, reminiscent of the music of the 1960’s. Today we have the first look at the video for this beautiful pop song. The clip is a celebratory pastiche of the ’60s and complements perfectly a song which is a salute to their music heroes. The jangly guitars and warm harmonies glisten brightly. It’s all class.
The band gives their thoughts on the track; “The more we played it, the more psychedelic it became. We shamelessly channelled our heroes, The Beatles and The Byrds, and covered the song with 12-string guitars, Ringo style drums and harmonies. This song, like many others, is about the impermanence of relationships, and the realisation that sometimes there is nothing you can do to prevent an imminent painful loss.”
First will be released on the 6th November 2020 on Half A Cow Records
Sydney-siders will have an opportunity to catch the band live – they will be launching the album at The Petersham Bowling Club, on 6th November.
