Kanye West releases full version of Kendrick Lamar and Madlib collaboration “No More Parties in L.A”

Okay, so maybe Kanye West’s “GOOD Fridays” series isn’t exactly back on track. Many thought the Chicago rapper-producer would be releasing a new song every Friday in the lead-up to the highly anticipated Swish, much like he did in the weeks before My Beautiful Dark Twisted Fantasy was released in 2010. While we were wrong on the exact timing of the new song, it appears Kanye is still committed to releasing new music every Friday-ish, this week giving us the full version of his furious collaboration with Kendrick Lamar and Madlib, “No More Parties in L.A”.

A vocal sample from Ghostface Killah and two emcees going back and and forth over a speedy, soulful groove for just over six minutes is what we get with this head-nodder, showcasing all three respective talents while bringing attention back to Kanye’s witty rhymes, Lamar’s raspy flow, and Madlib’s complex production. This is on that Late Registration feel, and those not big on albums like Yeezus and 808s & Heartbreak will be overjoyed to hear that the vintage Kanye is still banging around every now and then.

It is unclear whether or not “No More Parties in L.A” will appear on Swish, but if the last “G.O.O.D Fridays” series is anything to go by, all signs point to no. Swish will be released on 11th February 2015.
