Gettin' to know the Glaswegians #01: Deathcats

As we pretend to pay attention to the Commonwealth Games, we are getting exposed to the city of Glasgow, in all its many colours. But here at the AU, we’re only really worried about the music. So, we headed to Scotland’s T in the Park to meet a few of the bands who call the Games’ host city their home. Over the next week you’ll meet a few of these bands along with us – and we kick things off with a band self described as “noise makers and lovers of cats” – DEATHCATS.

While we’d compare the group to Australia’s Dune Rats, we thought we’d catch up with the trio of noise makers to get their own take on their sound – and find out a bit more about them, and what they’re getting up to…

To get a taste for yourself, you can stream their entire debut, 11 track record on Bandcamp via Fuzzkill Records – ALL HAIL DEATHCATS is its name. And it’s indeed the best way for you to find out for yourself what the band are all about…

Stay tuned for more “Gettin’ To Know The Glaswegians” on the AU, in what’s the closest thing to “Commonwealth Games Coverage” you’re going to find on here…
