First line-up announced for Sydney’s beach-side Vibes on a Summer’s Day festival

After early bird tickets sold out in less than 15 minutes, sun-soaked Sydney boutique festival Vibes on a Summer’s Day has officially released an impressive first-wave line up, bringing in both international and local acts for a mash of nu-disco, jazz, soul, space funk, house, and more.

The popular event will take place in January 2016 at Bondi Pavilion, welcoming headliner Jazzie B of classic UK group Soul II Soul along with The Bamboos’ vocalist Kylie Auldist, nu-disco champion Dr Packer, DJ Russ Dewbury, British live act Faze Action, and renowned UK producer Steve Spacek as Beat Spacek.

The eclectic first line-up offers a huge array of sounds to spend all day absorbing right by one of Australia’s most iconic beaches. It also spans generations, bringing in old school vintage-soul and putting it on the same stage as live electronica and the more adventurous side of house.

“Like our artists, we are progressive”, said festival promoter Joe Conneely of the announcement, “you can see it with this line up and you’ll see it in the coming weeks as we announce more carefully curated talent for…Vibes 2016”.
