Melbourne vocalist and producer Lisa Spencer has been crafting some special music under the moniker AURA and the next few months see this exciting talent being set up to reach more people than before. The release of her new single “Out Loud” (premiering today on the AU) is a great follow on to “New Thing”, Aura’s November 2015 release – the musician displays a knack for establishing a soundscape to get lost in and with a vocal quality evoking the smokiness of BANKS and the fragility the likes of Yukimi Nagano and Lauren Mayberry deliver on Little Dragon and CHVRCHES material respectively, Aura has most definitely caught our attention.
This new single release coincides with her signing news; Aura joins fellow Melbournian electro act RKDA (another recent AU fave) on the newly-launched RIOT EXPERT label – be expecting some cool music coming out of this corner through 2016.
