Exclusive Music Video Premiere: Tom Lyngcoln “Gemini Orion” (2018)

Tom Lyngcoln‘s unveiling of highly anticipated debut album Doming Home was one many a music fan was quick to become excited about. Lyngcoln has long been flexing his muscles as one of the country’s best guitarists and with lead single “Teardrops”, we got an insight into the swirling soundscapes the musician has been working with over the course of this process.

Now, we get to see Lyngcoln in his element with the Doming Home material, as the official music video for album track “Gemini Orion” finally sees light. The music we’ve heard already screams of a dark intimacy within the musicianship, but “Gemini Orion” – the music video, too – is utterly engrossing and stirring. Lyngcoln sits on his own, delivering the song in a way the highlights heartwrenching vocal and songwriting nuance.

“This clip came together in 24 hours.” Lyngcoln explains. “Five of those hours were me reconstructing my audio program on my laptop after a billing issue while the director waited for it to be resolved. It was shot in my wife’s parents house next door and by the time we got started it was late and this is the first take. Ago Soldati, the director,  shot two more takes and then my in laws wanted to go to bed. This a live performance but sounds pretty close to the record because I was mentally composed of 1’s and 0’s riding the billing matrix trying to resolve computer problems. Technology Stress is my zen space.”

Knuckle down, Doming Home is not for the fainthearted. Check “Gemini Orion” out below and cop the record today.
