Exclusive Music Video Premiere: Coin Banks “Forgive Us” (2017)

We’ve got the new joint from Perth’s Coin Banks today in the glorious “Forgive Us” – as a step forward for the MC, this new single is a proven jaunt, not just a small creep further into the deserved light. Linking up with the WAAPA Gospel Choir, the song itself is playful and fully-rounded; smooth in delivery, memorable in effect.

Today, we are premiering the official music video for “Forgive Us” – centring on the simplest of restaurant dates. Frustration, tolerance, hilarity and ultimate forgiveness swirls through the narrative as we see a couple manoeuvre what’s clearly not the best of date nights.

“I think something that holds us back a a society is the inability to apologise and forgive, ” Coin Banks has explained. “It is something so simple but something we all struggle with. Pride and fear hold us back from apologising and at the same time, holds us back from forgiving the people that have wronged us.”

Directed by Sam Lara, produced by Bridgette Terlick and edited by Frances Elliott, this video is tongue in cheek for sure, with a lot of charm injected into the mix.
