Bone Thugs-N-Harmony announce Australian tour with DJ Quik and Tha Dogg Pound

Mid-west hip hop legends Bone Thugs-N-Harmony will be making their very welcome return to Australia in May of this year as they headline a series of shows dubbed This Is Hip Hop; even better, the collective will be performing their seminal sophomore E. 1999 Eternal in it’s entirety, 21 years (and two months) after it’s release. To sweeten the deal for hip-hop fans, west coast stalwart DJ Quik will be joining Bone Thugs on this tour, alongside the duo of Daz Dillinger and Kurupt, collectively known as Tha Dogg Pound.

Krayzie Bone, Bizzy Bone, Wish Bone, and Layzie Bone will all be coming down for the tour, no doubt familiar to Australian crowds due to their extensive touring over the past five years which has seen them sell out a whopping 45 shows across the country. This will, however, be the very first time they will be performing E. 1999 Eternal in full for Australian crowds so tracks which usually aren’t on the regular set lists, like “Crept and We Came” and “Land of tha Heartless” should be firsts for us.

DJ Quik’s impact on westcoast hip hop is undeniable, and you can still hear his influence in the emcees of today. Known as one of the greatest rapper-producers to ever do it, he will undoubtedly be bringing an authentic, raw slice of Compton’s long hip hop history to the table in the same way that made his 2013 Australian tour such a hit. Also on the tour three years ago was Kurupt Young Gotti, who will be joined by Daz in what should be a wild set as they perform material from the classic Dogg Food all the way up to 100 Wayz.

With even more acts to be announced, the shows will be shaping up as a must for any hip hop fan in Melbourne, Perth, Sydney, and Brisbane. Ticket pre-sale starts at 10am today, Thursday 25th February and lasts until Friday 26th February. General sale is set for Tuesday 1st March at 9am from all below links.
