PAX Aus 2021 has been cancelled

PAX Aus 2021

PAX Aus 2021 will not go ahead.

Show organisers made the announcement via the PAX Aus social media channels this morning. This marks the second time the ReedPop-managed convention has been cancelled due to the ongoing Covid-19 pandemic. When announced earlier this year, organisers were confident it would move ahead as planned. Sadly, with Australia’s bungled vaccine rollout, and multiple states in lockdown at press time, the writing has been on the wall for a little while now.

PAX Aus would have taken place in mid-October. The show will now pivot to a free virtual model similar to 2020’s PAX Online. This new PAX Aus Online program will run from October 8-10, 2021. More information on that will become available as the date looms.

If you already bought a ticket to the show, don’t stress. All ticket holders will receive a full refund. Ticket holders will receive information regarding refunds within the next seven days.

2021 would have been the show’s eighth anniversary in Aus. ReedPop says that it plans for a physical event will return to Melbourne in 2022.

May it come to pass. I think we could all use a PAX right now.
