Radiohead are finally coming back to Australia.
In what is easily one of the biggest tour announcements of the year, the legendary Oxford band will return in May and June 2027 for their first Australian shows in 15 years, playing a mammoth 16 arena dates across Perth, Melbourne and Sydney. And yes, we’re jumping out of skins for this one.
Radiohead have long been one of our favourite bands here at the AU review, and if there was any doubt about whether the magic is still there, anyone who caught Thom Yorke on his extraordinary Australian solo tour in 2024 will know the answer. Our five-star review from the Sydney Opera House described a musician still capable of producing something utterly absorbing, unpredictable and brilliant.
As for Radiohead themselves, their last Australian tour was back in 2012. Since then there has been A Moon Shaped Pool, Yorke and Jonny Greenwood’s work with The Smile, countless side projects and, more recently, Radiohead’s return to the stage with a run of European residencies in late 2025. Now Australia finally gets its turn.
Could these shows possibly be as memorable as Radiohead’s famous Glastonbury headline set in 1997? That’s probably an unfair benchmark. But since we’re here, I’m absolutely going to brag that I was there. The mud was apocalyptic; however, the performance was utterly legendary. Almost three decades later, I’m every bit as excited about seeing them again as I was then.

The system is being used for both general and accessible tickets in an attempt to give fans fairer access and reduce automated and unauthorised ticket purchases. Successful applicants will begin receiving notification from Friday 11 September.
Importantly, here is also a limit of four tickets in one city per purchaser, so if you have a bigger crew going, then have more people register. So, in short: if you want to see Radiohead in Australia next year, register now.

A $2 charity donation is included in every ticket price, with proceeds going to Greenpeace Australia Pacific and the Australian Marine Conservation Society. Radiohead will match the total amount raised with a donation of their own.
