It’s time to start planning our favourite time of the year again! PAX Aus is BACK with a new theme, the same venue, and the same good times for gamers across three spectacular days from 9-11 October at the Melbourne Convention and Exhibition Centre. The event is the grand finale of Melbourne International Games Week, Australia’s biggest celebration of games.
PAX Aus 2026 Early Bird Badges go on sale online at 11 am AEDT on March 24, 2026, here.
This year, PAX is also teaming up with Beyond Blue as the official charity partner, who will be on the event floor offering support.
Georgie Harman AO, CEO Beyond Blue, said, “We’re proud to be returning to PAX as the event’s official charity partner, and to continue to be part of a community that connects people through play. Last year, we saw firsthand how strongly the gaming community shows up for one another. For many people, gaming in moderation can promote connection, friendships, enjoyment, and a sense of belonging – helping them look after themselves and others. “With PAX, we can help keep mental health part of everyday life, reminding people of the importance of looking after themselves and that it’s never too early to reach out to Beyond Blue if they’re struggling.
For anyone going through a hard time, the Beyond Blue Support Service is free and available 24/7 on 1300 22 4636 or online via Beyond Blue – it’s never too early to reach out for support.
PAX Aus Event Director, Lauren Luciani, said, “After an incredible year in 2025, we’re so excited to welcome fans back for PAX Aus 2026 and introduce them to PAX Land. Every year, we aim to create an unforgettable experience for every kind of gamer, whether you love AAA blockbusters, indie gems, family tabletop game nights, mobile gaming, or live panels. But it’s the passion and energy of our community that truly powers the event. We can’t wait to see everyone back at MCEC in October for three full days of reveals, community, and ridiculous amounts of gaming.”

PAX Aus is a three-day celebration of all things gaming. The event brings together the biggest and best publishers, developers, tabletop, tech and industry experts for industry-leading panels, discussions, first plays, game reveals from studios, fireside chats and sometimes, even sea shanty sing-a-longs (I’m not joking at all!).
Then there is the show floor, which features big hitters like Nintendo and Xbox showcasing their latest and upcoming games alongside Indie devs from Australia, New Zealand, and even beyond! You can read our thoughts on last year’s PAX here.
