Pearl Jam Australian tour announced, new album to be released in April and share title-track

Pearl Jam Tour Australia

It’s been teased for days, and if you were in Bondi on the weekend, there were Pearl Jam hints everywhere. The Pearl Jam tour is on! Yes, the Seattle grunge legends, Pearl Jam, will be heading to Australia, playing the Gold Coast, Melbourne and Sydney in November this year. In other massive news for the band, they have announced that their twelfth studio album, Dark Matters, will be released on the 19th of April, 2024.

The album was recorded in Malibu, with producer Andrew Watt at the helm. With the title-track, which has just been released, you can get a taste of what’s to come. This is their first release since the 2020 album, Gigatron.

About the album, Eddie Vedder said: “I’m getting chills, because I have good memories. We’re still looking for ways to communicate. We’re at this time in our lives when you could do it or you could not do it, but we still care about putting something out there that is meaningful and we hopefully think is our best work. No hyperbole, I think this is our best work.”

The Australian and New Zealand dates are towards the end of a world tour that kicks off in Vancouver in May. They will be supported by Pixies on the Australian legs of their tour.
