Mallrat announces April Australian tour + new album

Having only just graced with a brand new track “Pavement”, Brisbane-born Mallrat (Grace Shaw) is gearing up for an April tour to celebrate her freshly announced album, Light hit my face like a straight right, dropping for all the lovers on 14th February. The album is an ode to Aussie suburbs and the poetry within that familiar landscape and its people, showcasing Shaw’s signature ability to find beauty in the mundane, blending emotive storytelling with gorgeous production across both ballad and banger. The 12-tracker charts the artist’s growth as a songwriter and producer, diving deep into the magic and mystery of human connections.

Since her debut in 2016, Mallrat has racked up an effortless half a billion streams, platinum certs, and a far-reaching fanbase. She’s toured with Post Malone, King Princess, and Maggie Rogers, and graced stages at Splendour in the Grass, Austin City Limits, and Reading & Leeds, garnering critical acclaim from NME, The New York Times, and Billboard.

The new record announcement comes paired with a short and sweet national tour. Tickets are on sale this Friday 24th January with stops at Sydney’s Enmore Theatre, Brisbane’s Fortitude Music Hall, and Melbourne’s Forum.
