the AU interview: Phil of Grenadiers (Adelaide) on how 'Summer' is going, Triple J and more!

Adelaide's Grenadiers only have a few dates left on their Summer launch tour, having played Sydney last night and looking forward to the remaining dates in Brisbane and Adelaide this weekend and next week. With their album striking a chord with many on the local Adelaide scene and interstate as well, bassist Phil tells us a bit about how things have been travelling since the album's release.

Grenadiers (Adelaide) give us their Top 10 Australian bands!

Things are pretty sweet for Adelaide punk rockers Grenadiers right now. Their latest album Summer is currently enjoying much deserved success; the highly anticipated sophomore record even holding the Feature Album spot on Triple J this week, making them only the second artist from South Australia to do so. So, as we celebrate one of the best rock acts to come out of the City of Churches this week, we asked the lads to clue us in on some of their favourite Australian artists. Vocalist and guitarist Jesse Coulter gives us 10 top picks.

New Music Video: Grenadiers "Summer" (2014)

Apart from the title being a bit of a cheeky cash in on the fact that it is now "Summer" in Australia, Grenadiers new single and music video of the same name has the band channelling Grinspoon and (when they were in their better days) Rise Against. The video is well shot and seamlessly channels the attitude of Adelaide's punk rock stalwarts. Check it out below!

the AU interview: Jesse of Grenadiers (Adelaide)

Ahead of this weekend's Australia Day fundraiser at the Reverence Hotel in Footscray, Melbourne, supporting Oxfam and The Refugee Council, we're catching up with a bunch of the bands playing at the event! Next up is Tom Lanyon, the vocalist and guitarist from Adelaide's Grenadiers.

Celebrate Australia Day Weekend at The Rev and help raise funds for Oxfram and The Refugee Council of Australia!

The Reverence Hotel in Melbourne will be hosting one heck of an Australia Day party in 2014, with the hardcore, punk and rock communities coming together for a day of blistering tunes. Taking place over two stages, the gig will be raising much needed money for Oxfam and The Refugee Council of Australia – previous events have raised over $25,000 for important causes and next year’s event will be no different. If you’re around and about on January 25 and 26, get down and show your support!
