It is the sequel to one of the biggest blockbusters in history, and it’ll be released in cinemas two decades after the original; Independence Day: Resurgence is one step closer to release today, with our first full look at the apocalyptic epic in the form of one very ominous, action-heavy trailer.
Liam Hemsworth will be taking the lead from Will Smith, who will sadly not be returning for the film. Though there are plenty of actors from the original, including pres. Bill Pullman, meme Jeff Goldblum, and Vivica A Fox, all looking ready to fight back against the full force of the alien invasion.
20 years after the original attack, the planet’s preperations using alien technology may still not prove to be enough when earth is hit with an aggressive and sizeable retaliation attack from outer space.
