Some summer romances promise forever. The Last Sunrise asks what happens when time itself becomes the greatest obstacle.
The first trailer for director Carlson Young‘s upcoming romantic drama has arrived, teasing an emotional story that blends sun-drenched escapism with the realities of chronic illness, first love and long-buried family truths. Set against the breathtaking backdrop of Mallorca, the film follows college student Ry (Maia Reficco), whose holiday with her mother (Eva Longoria) takes an unexpected turn when she falls for the charming Julián (Fernando Lindez). But as Ry finally allows herself to embrace the present, her declining health and secrets from the past threaten to cut the summer short.
Based on After author Anna Todd‘s beloved novel and adapted for the screen by Anna Klassen, The Last Sunrise looks poised to keep Prime Video’s summer romance quota full for another season.
The Last Sunrise is available to stream globally on Prime Video from August 26th, 2026.
