Yesterday Screen Gems released the first official trailer for horror-science fiction film Underworld: Blood Wars. This will be the fifth instalment of the franchise with Kate Beckinsale returning as the leading female role as Selene. The film is directed by Anna Foerster, making this title her first feature to work on.
Reported by Variety, they mention that the first half of the trailer isn’t something out of the ordinary, as it consists of flashbacks from the previous films of the franchise. It also emphasises the war still existing between the Lycans (werewolves) and vampires. However, it appears that Selene’s blood is the solution for peace between the creatures.
With its fast-paced nature, showcasing some creepy 3D footage, the trailer doesn’t reveal much but it puts forward an intriguing tone for those that have kept up with the franchise.
