New Toshiba Portégé X20 Convertible PC Launches in Australia

Toshiba has today announced the release of the highly anticipated Portégé X20 premium convertible PC, which functions as both a notebook and tablet. The Portégé X20 comes equipped with the latest 7th Generation Intel® Core™ vPro processors, and runs on Windows 10 Pro. The Portégé X20 aims to deliver advancements in security, performance, manageability and connectivity to deliver efficient and powerful results.

The 2-in-1 notebook and tablet has a 12.5-inch diagonal Full HD multi-touch wide viewing angle display, Intel® 802.11ac Wi-Fi® and a PCIe solid-state drive, all inside a durable magnesium casing. The Portégé X20 has an expected battery life of up to 13 hours and utilises facial authentication and Trusted Platform Module technologies to ensure the utmost security.

The Portégé X20 features a sturdy 360-degree dual action hinge, allowing for smooth transformation into five core modes – Laptop, Tablet, Tabletop, Presentation and Audience, each bringing something new to the table. Through its presentation mode, the user is able to conduct conferences with ease, and then quickly flip to laptop or tablet mode for entertainment purposes. The Portégé X20 is powered by Harman Kardon® stereo speakers and DTS Sound™ software, giving the custom-tuned speakers a robust, crisp sound designed to enhance your entertainment experience. Settings are automatically and seamlessly set when flipping through these modes.

The Full HD, multi-touch screen allows for a gorgeous 1080p display with sharper text, and brilliant colours. The Portégé X20 is also reinforced with all new Corning® Gorilla® Glass, which offers a high level of damage resistance.

The screen also incorporates Wacom® Feel technology, delivering professional grade digital handwriting performance. The Portégé X20 also offers a industry standard USB 3.0 port and reversible plug orientation with connectivity of up to 40Gbps. The Portégé X20 is Toshiba’s first Notebook compatible with the new Toshiba Thunderbolt™ 3 Dock, available later this quarter. The dock allows for easy display expansion of up to two 4K monitors, two addition USB-C devices and more.
