New fundraising Q&A event series “The Artists Room” launches with David Wenham and Gettin’ Square

Event Cinemas on George Street in Sydney has announced a one-of-a-kind event later this month, that will allow cinema lovers to see Australian actor David Wenham in a live 1-hour Q&A.

Hosted by Luke Buckmaster, the insightful event will see the Lord of the Rings offer sage advice on the industry. This will immediately be followed by a screening of of Wenham’s AFI winning role in Gettin’ Square – a criminally underrated, hilarious film that every fan of Wenham needs to see.

To add some icing to the cake, all of the funds from the evening will be going to a Screen NSW and an Event Cinemas fund for a screenwriter’s development program; a program designed to give back to the industry.  National film school AFTRS also sits as a partner of the series.

“The Artist’s Room” will take place at Event Cinemas on George St in Sydney on May 31 at 6:30pm. To book your tickets, head to Event’s official site.
