Medivh brings more magic to Warcraft: The Beginning in new international movie trailer

A new official international trailer has dropped for the epic fantasy and Duncan Jones-helmed film, Warcraft: The Beginning from Universal Pictures.

The new trailer is one minute in length and offers a few new perks, including the first official footage of the Guardian of Tirisfal, Medivh, portrayed by Ben Foster.

The trailer seamlessly fuses previously seen imagery with some new visuals and voice overs, and we also glimpse a more human side to the war between the Alliance and the Horde, as we see some terrified locals watching their once peaceful world being ravaged by the invading orcs.

Based on the worldwide phenomenon World of Warcraft by Blizzard Entertainment and directed by Duncan Jones (Moon, Source Code) Warcraft: The Beginning stars Australians Travis Fimmel as Anduin Lothar and Anna Galvin as Draka, Paula Patton as Garona, Ben Foster as Medivh, Dominic Cooper as King Llane, Toby Kebbell as Durotan, Ben Schnetzer as Khadgar, Rob Kazinsky as Orgrim Doomhammer, Daniel Wu as Gul’dan, Ruth Negga as Lady Taria Wrynn and Clancy Brown as Blackhand.

Warcraft: The Beginning opens in Australia on June 16.
