Forget everything you thought you knew about Avengers: Infinity War

In an interview with Uproxx, Joe and Anthony Russo have confirmed that the upcoming Avengers: Infinity War – Part 1 and Avengers: Infinity War – Part 2 are set to be re-titled.

Despite their titling, the pair of upcoming Avengers films are set to be entirely different stories rather than a single epic two-part story – and the films will soon have new titles reflecting that.

There’s no word about what direction these title changes might take but it’s the kind of announcement that some expect will headline Marvel’s promotional efforts at this year’s San Diego Comic Con.

Little is known about the Infinity War films, aside from the fact that they will involve Thanos (Josh Brolin), infinity stones and a reported 67-character roster of superheroes.

More news as it comes.
