It happened again. Despite negative reviews and a ridiculous premise, Dirty Grandpa has remained on top in its second week, earning AU$1.4 million.
The comedy has kept The Revenant to second place, the Oscar nominee being the only other film over AU$1 million this week.
Zoolander 2 had a pre-release, opening on 125 screens. The sequel to the 2001 comedy hit earned AU$922k on its limited opening and landed on third spot. Should be interesting to see how it goes on its official release.
Spotlight, assisted by its award season murmurings no doubt, has knocked Star Wars down to fifth spot as the space opera finally drops under a million in Australia.
