Assassins Creed film is already getting a sequel

The Michael Fassbender-fronted adaption of Ubisoft’s historical open-world video game series isn’t due till December but 20th Century Fox and New Regency have already working towards releasing a sequel, The Tracking Board reports.

It’s hard to know what to expect from Assassins Creed. Though we’ve gotten a few stills here and there from the film, no official trailers have yet been released.

The film is set to be directed by Justin Kurzel and stars Michael Fassbender as a man descended from a secret order of assassins at war with the modern Knights Templar who must use an experimental machine to relive the memories of one of his ancestors.

Assassins Creed will arrive in Australian cinemas December 26th.
