The anticipated new Pixar film Inside Out – the first release from the acclaimed animation studio since 2013’s Monsters University – will be premiering in Sydney, Australia next week (Monday, June 15th), ahead of its nstional release on Thursday, June 18th. And to help launch the film, one of the stars of the film, Amy Poehler, will walk the “bright, multi-coloured” carpet at the Event Cinemas on George Street along with Director Pete Docter and Producer Jonas Rivera. The visit will be Poehler’s first to Australia. Special guests and local personalities will also walk the carpet at the premiere, which will kick off from 6pm on Monday.

In the film, Poehler plays Joy, one of the five “emotions” inside 11-year-old Riley’s mind, whose sole mission is to ensure Riley stays happy. Rounding out the emotions (who unfortunately won’t be in attendance at the Sydney premiere) are Fear (voiced by Bill Hader), Anger (voiced by Lewis Black), Disgust (voiced by Mindy Kaling) and Sadness (voiced by Phyllis Smith).
