What to expect from Melbourne’s “astral” Mystic Chamber room

Melbourne’s perfectly located DoubleTree by Hilton is in its final weeks for a special guest experience dubbed “The Mystic Chamber”, a concept that has transformed one of the hotel’s rooms in partnership with Muses of Mystery.

The curated one-off hotel experience has completely taken over one room with genuine crystal balls, dreaming mist, celestial walls, sumptuous velvet bedding and ‘stained glass’ windows to stick to theme. Though the collaboration extends far beyond just aesthetics, with guests staying in one of the “Mystic Chambers” able to book in for discounted tarot card readings, spell consultations or reiki healing sessions with the team at Muses of Mystery.

It’s part of an on-going concept at the property, whereby the hotel curates their rooms in partnership with local brands or designers. In the past, this has included an Ugg room, a bohemian summer sleepover room with Sage x Clare homewares, and a graffiti room produced by 90 degrees.

“We are delighted to release the hotel’s fourth curated room and offer guests another unique space where they can escape and enjoy a truly magical stay in Melbourne”, said hotel GM Garry Lucas. “The Mystic Chamber offers a one-off opportunity for guests to experience the hotel’s distinct Melbourne feel with a special air of mystery and old-world charm”.

Guests booking into the room can expect the full experience, which includes a “magical cocktail” on arrival, a special chocolate ball with white mousse, toasted white chocolate, berry sauce and chocolate popping candy, and a turn-down service where staff spray pillows with the Muses of Mystery’s “Astral Dreaming Mist” which is said to inspire “calm sleep and astral travel”.

Though you’ve only got just over a week until the curated room poofs into thin air on 12th May – Mother’s Day. Bookings can be made HERE.
