The Grounds of Alexandria to host a dessert night market (Sydney)

Health food sampling service GoodnessMe box are teaming up with The Grounds of Alexandria to put on a huge dessert-themed wholefood night market with leading health food brands offering up their finely crafted treats to highlight the balance between indulging dessert lovers and providing them with options a bit more guilt-free than the usual doughnut milkshakes and nutella cronuts. This second ever GoodnessMe Box Wholefood Night Markets follows last year’s sold out event, which attracted a health-conscious crowd of more than 600 hungry Sydneysiders.

Raw cakes, healthy milkshakes, peanut butter treats, and “nice creams” will be some of the treats on offer during the market, which will also be featuring a series of talks and cooking demos from big names in the health and wellness world from Jessica Sepel to Luke Hines.

“I think it’s really important for people to ditch the diet mentality and to enjoy each mouthful of dessert. Turning to wholefoods-based, unrefined and sugar-free sweet treats is an even greater way to enjoy life while sidelining any guilt”, said Sepel. “The Night Markets are going to be the place for people to do exactly that. It’s going to be a fantastic night out.”

Designed as an accessible night market to both encourage and inspired more exploration of the wholefood movement, the event will be bringing in some brands who have been at the forefront of said movement, including Rebel Kitchen, IsoWhey Wholefoods, Luz Almond, Pic’s Peanut Butter, and Table of Plenty. Each will have stalls set up throughout The Grounds where guests will be able to sample and purchase their products. And sweet treats won’t be the only thing on offer, with The Ground’s recently switched up BBQ-inspired menu also set to offer a range of organic wines and healthy savoury dinner options

“The Wholefood Night Markets are a way for new and established brands to showcase their products to a passionate and highly engaged audience in an intimate and boutique environment”, said event creator Peta Shulman. “We had such positive feedback from the first Night Markets and the second event, this time with a dessert focus, promises to be even more impactful”.

“So often we are fearful of foods. We should be able to enjoy all foods, including much loved desserts, eating them without guilt and from a mindful and health-conscious perspective. This is just what the Night Markets will offer attendees.”

Tickets to the GoodnessMe Box Wholefood Night Market are set at $35 each and can be purchased from goodnessmebox.com. Only 750 tickets are being sold and each includes a take-home GoodnessMe Box.
