One of Australia’s most awarded wineries, Taylors Wines, is this month celebrating the third release of The Visionary Cabernet Sauvignon 2012, as well as its entire St Andrews range: the 2013 St Andrews Cabernet Sauvignon, 2013 St Andrews Shiraz, 2014 St Andrews Chardonnay, and 2015 St Andrews Riesling.
The family owned Clare Valley winery has been producing multi-award winning wines for three generations learning from and rivalling the best wines of Europe and Bordeaux in particular.
The Visionary Cabernet Sauvignon, made in very limited volumes and only from exceptional vintages and named in honour of Taylors Wines founder Bill Taylor Snr is the diamond in the crown of the Taylors range.
“The Visionary is an ongoing tribute to Bill’s unwavering commitment to his vision and the foundations he laid for our family winery,” Managing Director Mitchell Taylor said. “Each vintage we benchmark this wine against some of the greats from Bordeaux resulting in an incredibly elegant style of wine that will continue to evolve as it ages. It’s a daunting task crafting a wine befitting of my grandfather, but each year this wine keeps getting better and better – he would be proud.”
Each bottle of The Visionary has been hand labelled and numbered in a bespoke design luxury gift box and the inner case is hand wrapped in black linen and including a book detailing the wine’s vintage and creation.
The St Andrews range also being released has, like prior releases, already won numerous international medals with the 2014 receiving 11 gold medals, the 2013 6 gold medals and the 2015 3 gold medals, a double gold and also a Great Gold from the Catavinum World Wine & Spirit Competition.
