Sokyo’s Chase Kojima to serve premium rice burgers at new casual restaurant (Sydney)

Award-winning Japanese chef Chase Kojima, he who has turned Sokyo into one of the best in Sydney and has opened the equally fantastic Kiyomi on the Gold Coast, has announced that he’ll be moving into something a bit more casual for his third venture, Gojima. Opening up opposite Momofuku Seiobo at The Star, Gojima will see Chase dapple in a menu driven by premium Japanese rice burgers and sides, bringing a new angle to Sydney’s busy burger scene.

Local beer, wine, soft drinks, and thickshakes will all be on hand to wash the food down, but the star attraction will be that range of rice burgers filled with cooked meats and raw seafood. Kojima will be flipping these up in a space designed by the ever-reliable Luchetti Krelle, who are best known for their award-winning design work at ACME, and have worked with Chase before on Kiyomi.

“We can’t wait to introduce Gojima and our rice burgers to Sydney. Rice burgers are an exciting food concept, offering guests a contemporary taste of Japan that’s unique and delicious and, we’re taking them to the next level.”

Gojima will open next month at The Star Sydney. For more information click HERE.
