Sydney cocktail lovers are going to want to head along to Eau de Vie on Sunday 29th April because for one night only, the super stylish small bar will be getting the original bartending team back together in collaboration with The House of Angostura. For those not familiar with the bar’s storied history, that means former EDV Head Bartender Max Greco will be joining other Eu de Vie alum like Luke Redington and Dan Gregory, the Australian Brand Ambassador for Angostura, for a special menu that includes plenty of different Angostura cocktails on offer.
Not only that, but some of the most famous drinks from the bar’s earlier days will be making a reappearance alongside the current menu, served throughout the night with no tickets or reservations required.
“We were one of the first small bars in Sydney back in 2010 and have built a strong reputation for both high calibre bartenders and exceptional drinks,” said EDV owner Sven Almenning. “Max, Luke and Dan were three of the originals; they are very much a part of our success today and they set the bar high for all the following. It’s great to have them back together for this reunion”.
The night will kick off at 6pm and entry will be free. Cocktails confirmed for the night include the Smokey Rob with Angostura aromatic bitters, a special Old Fashioned with Angostura aromatic butters, Money to Burn with a “Millionaire Twist” with Angostura Rum, and the famous Yuzu Mule with Angostura bitters.
