New Bondi Burger Restaurant Milky Lane will feature The Churro Bowl (Sydney)

With an official Facebook page that sits at almost 6,000 likes already, not-yet-opened Bondi cafe Milky Lane has certainly tugged at the indulgent heart strings of Sydney’s most ardent foodies with the announcement that their menu will feature recently internet-breaking dessert creation The Churro Bowl. The image you see above is of one such magical, edible, sugary bowl, and due to it going insanely viral recently Milky Lane feel like they should be the ones to master this new dessert craze in Sydney.

Opening Friday 6th May on Curlewis Street, the cafe fashions itself primarily as a “Burger Restaurant”, and they’ve already posted on social media promising that the will have 8 creations waiting for hungry guests when they open (including a veggie option and gluten free buns) as well as sides, including Mac ‘n’ Cheese Croquettes and Loaded Style Fries. Desserts will include CoNuts (homemade soft serve in churro/donut/Trdelnik cones with various toppings), thick shakes that come with the option of having them spiked with alcohol, alongside signature cocktails, and ice cold tap beers. They’re also promising “every spirit under the sun”.

Pictured above is one of the burgers that will likely make the menu. A Slow Cooked Pork Belly Burger with sticky bourbon BBQ sauce and spicy mayo, roasted apple and kimchi relish, red cabbage and shallot slaw, and crispy pork crackling.

Videos and pictures of The Churro Bowl (watch one below) have been circulating online, and it’s pretty much exactly what it sounds like. A traditional churro is shaped into a small bowl and then sprinkled with cinnamon sugar before being filled with homemade soft topped with Nutella and liquid caramel, able to be pimped up with additional toppings like thick crushed nuts, pretzels, fresh fruit (for people who want to act like their not being completely gluttonous) and Maltesers.

There’s also a Gym pretty much next door.
